Rodarte Goes To The Opera

Rodarte‘s ready to take center stage again!
Designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy have signed on to design the costumes for the Los Angeles Philharmonic production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni.
Laura said it was an easy decision:

“It only took a few seconds to say ‘yes’. My grandmother sang opera, and if she were alive today, this would be her proudest moment.”

The Mulleavy’s are still in the early stages of designing the costumes, but insist they “won├óΓé¼Γäót be oriented to a period in history” and “will be more abstract”.
If you’re in the Los Angeles area and what to see Rodarte’s designs in person, the performances are scheduled for May 18, 20, 24 and 26 at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
