Elisabeth Hasselbeck went on the attack yesterday, but could she have been prepared for this?!
She went on the attack during a call into her show, Fox & Friends, after hearing that Rosie O’Donnell might be returning to The View.
She made a number of wild comments including one about Rosie being someone who “spit in the face of our military, spit in the face of her own network, and really in the face of a person who stood by her and had civilized debates for the time that she was there.”
And that didn’t sit well with another former View co-host as Joy Behar spoke to Don Lemon on CNN and commented:
“I would like Elisabeth to explain herself. What does she mean by that? And isn’t it kind of a nasty thing to say about somebody who basically is a good person? That’s a dangerous thing to say about somebody…I think it’s a hate-filled remark. And she should explain it.”
She also added that Rosie’s son is currently in military school.
But she wasn’t the only one who had a reaction to Elisabeth’s attack. Rosie offered up one word to the hate:
@etnow @ehasselbeck – shocking
— Rosie (@Rosie) July 9, 2014
That pretty much sums that up.
We wouldn’t doubt that Elisabeth will have a response once she’s back from vacay├óΓé¼┬ªor maybe she’ll call in during her vacation again!
