Candy Spelling is reportedly worth hundreds of millions of dollars, and she’s the stingiest bitch around!
The heiress to her deceased husband’s fortune has just been sued by a former employee for wrongful termination.
Turns out one of Candy’s maids was being cheated out of her salary each day.
According to the lawsuit filed yesterday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the former maid says she was forced by Spelling to clock out of work each day for two 10 minute breaks. But the maid wasn’t getting paid for her breaks.
By law, aren’t full time employees allowed/required to take a 10 minute break after working four hours? And that’s a paid break too!
But not according to Candy’s people, who claim they were required to give the maid breaks, though not required to pay for those breaks.
As for the maid, she obviously got fired and is now seeking unspecified damages. That’s code word for a shit-load of money.
Time to pay up Candy!
