Just because King Charles III wants Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at his coronation doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy!
A new source told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday that the rest of the royal family is VERY unsure about welcoming the Duke and Duchess of Sussex back into their inner circle after all the s**t they’ve been put through. More importantly, they don’t want the estranged couple to ruin the entire event!

The insider, who is close to the royal family, said the major concern of Harry and Meghan attending the May 6 event in London is if they will steal the spotlight from the new monarch, they expressed:
“The big concern is the chaos that could overshadow the coronation if they attend. No one wants to see the focus taken away from King Charles with the press focused on Harry and Meghan and past family squabbles.”
Fair point, TBH. Most of the press leading up to the coronation has been about the Sussexes… It’s clearly what people care about! This leads us to believe if Harry and Meghan don’t show up, there will still be plenty of chatter about their absence. So, it’s kinda a lose, lose situation for the rest of the royals.
Interestingly, this isn’t the only concern coming from Buckingham Palace. The group is also panicked that if they let the Archewell founders into the fold, all their secrets will be exposed! The confidant shared:
“The fear is — if they do come — more private matters could be made public, so efforts are being made to prevent that.”
Hmm…

We already know Harry is more than happy to throw Charles, Prince William, Queen Camilla, and Princess Catherine under the bus if need be. Will he just not be allowed near his family much during the festivities? Seems like one of the only ways they would know for sure he wasn’t getting exposed to all their insider secrets!
It should be noted that while Charles “very much wants Prince Harry and his grandchildren at his coronation,” per ET, he’s not doing much to convince them to come. According to reports, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet haven’t been formally invited yet. Also, the 74-year-old just evicted the family from Frogmore Cottage! If all that wasn’t bad enough, Charles didn’t make an effort to reconnect with his son while the 38-year-old was in the city for the hearings of his lawsuit against Associated Newspaper last week. That said, it’s probably a good thing they didn’t get together considering Harry proceeded to put his entire family on blast for supposedly hiding information about a phone hacking incident from him. Not the best timing for a reunion. Things haven’t calmed down between the feuding parties at all!
