To hear Oprah Winfrey tell it, the Royal Wedding must have REALLY been something else!
The world-famous TV host was on hand in England for the big day between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, and she’s just now getting around to writing about it in the upcoming issues of O, The Oprah Magazine — and oh boy, Winfrey doesn’t hold back at all!

Describing the big day back in May as “an astounding” part of history, Oprah sets the scene with a seriously big play about her own emotions during the ceremony (below):
“I was unprepared for the depth of emotion I felt stepping onto the grounds of Windsor Castle. It literally took my breath away. I exclaimed out loud to no one in particular: ‘Whoa! This right here is a whole ‘nother level!'”

But not to leave it done up just on herself, Oprah is also quick to note the major international implications from Meghan’s rise into the royal family — and Winfrey wrote about the bigger picture (and what it might mean!) here:
“I thought immediately of the history, the legacy, the astounding moment Meghan Markle was stepping into. And what it would take to be prepared for such a moment. The life she was leaving behind and the new world to which she was rising—all part of a destiny she helped design…
I can’t wait to see the goodness that will come from their union. Goodness that I know for sure will help change the way the world thinks about what is possible, even more than it already has.”
