Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made sure to honor the late Princess Diana throughout their royal wedding.
For starters, the newly minted Duchess of Sussex’s wedding bouquet featured Diana’s favorite flower Forget-Me-Nots — which the Duke of Sussex hand-picked himself.

During the reception, Meghan wore a beautiful Aquamarine ring that once belonged to the former princess. Oh, and then there’s the tearjerking speech the 33-year-old royal gave about his mother being absent from the festivities. *Sniff*
Harry and Meghan even made sure there was a reminder of Diana in their official wedding portraits. As we previously reported, on Monday, Kensington Palace released the first official photos of the newlyweds, their relatives, and the wedding party.
In the image (below), Harry is seated on an emerald green couch while surrounded by his bride, page boys, and bridesmaids. Although the detail is a minor one, the couch is clearly a nod to Princess Diana. Here’s why…

Apparently, the emerald couch is the same one Diana sat upon while holding a baby Harry at his christening in 1984. Per reports, the late mother of two sat next to Queen Elizabeth II as Prince Charles took a seat on the arm of antique furniture piece. Many were beaming in the ’80s photo, as Prince William stood in the center of the shot, clearly disrupting the stoicism of the snap.
Wow, wow, wow. Harry and Meghan really thought of every way to honor Diana at their nuptials.
We’re sure Diana’s friends and loved ones are more than moved at the many tributes. We know we are!!!
