First Time Mom Relentlessly Live-Tweets Her Home Birth -- With NSFW Pics!

If you want to document childbirth and simultaneously try and dispel rumors and misinformation of what actually goes on in those birthing rooms… what better way than to live Tweet/Instagram the ENTIRE THING without flinching??
That’s exactly what first time mom Ruth Iorio did when she went into labor on Christmas night!
If you followed the designated hashtag, #ruthshomebirth, you could’ve watched the whole thing in realtime. For 12 hours.
That must be one long phone battery her husband had — because he was in charge of uploading the photos while she gave birth and tweeted about it!
Here’s what she said to ABC News:

“It was a quite a nice atmosphere. Every single contraction [my husband] pressed on my back with one hand and the other would be out taking a picture of me.”

All of that hard work paid off — not only did she have a healthy baby, but she also had her pics and story go viral!
Nye Soledad Iorio was born at 9:04 a.m. on Dec. 26, but that wasn’t the end of the story. Ruth herself had to be rushed to UCLA Medical Center because the placenta never followed the baby, and she ended up having a blood transfusion!
We’re just glad everyone’s okay!
And what a story to tell little Nye, unless he finds it on the internet someday on his own!
