Following an explosive New York Times expose, which included interviews with former collaborators, ex-girlfriends, and ex-wife Mandy MooreRyan Adams‘ scheduled U.K. and Ireland tour, meant to start March 30, has been canceled.
As we previously reported, the wide-ranging accusations against the singer-songwriter seem to paint a pattern of using power to leverage sex from women looking to get ahead in their career, but end up being taken advantage of.
A problematic storyline that’s all too familiar to say the least…

An announcement from Ticketmaster Ireland and London’s Royal Albert Hall on Friday read:

“The Ryan Adams UK & Ireland tour has been canceled. Full refunds to ticket purchasers from authorised outlets will be processed by end of day on Monday. Please allow time for the repayment transaction to hit your account.”

Ahead of the cancelation, some sought refunds for their purchased tickets to no avail after reading about the allegations. An ex-fan shared with BBC:

“Reading the allegations upset me quite a lot and I decided I didn’t want any of my money to go to Ryan Adams in the future. I’ve tried to get a refund on the ticket [and] I’ve yet to hear anything back. In the current climate we live in now, I definitely think about who I want my hard-earned money to go to… and I do think the whole [music] industry needs to look at itself.”

Also in the wake of the new allegations, sponsorship deals were ended between the Come Pick Me Up singer and three music-equipment companies, in addition to his upcoming release canceled from Capitol Records, a source confirmed to Variety.
