Shirley MacLaine's Daughter Goes In Depth About Her Tell-All, Lucky Me!

Shirley MacLaine has been a HUGE star for pretty much her whole life, which has unfortunately led her to be a not-so-good mama.
And as a result, her daughter, Sachi Parker wrote a tell-all, Lucky Me, about her life with her mom.
So far, Sachi revealed that her mother waited outside while she lost her virginity in her book, and now, even though she admits that her relationship with her mother was messy, she said that she has “accepted who she is.”
However, throughout her childhood days, Parker always wished that she could be closer to MacLaine, and the only thing that helped her heal her pain about not being in her mom’s life often was when she became a mother herself.
Sachi spent most of her life living with her producer dad, Steve Parker, in Japan, but during the summers, she would go visit her mama.
The author said:

“My visits in L.A. started at the airport, with Mom rushing up and giving me an all-encompassing hug. Once we got into the car she’d say, ‘Let’s have fun!’ Sometimes we’d head down to the Piggly Wiggly and eat cookies from the bakery. They weren’t supposed to be free, but Mom had no qualms about grabbing one. No one stopped her, she was a celebrity, after all.”

Awww! It sounds like Sachi really did have it rough, but hopefully this book can help her move on with her healing process, even if Shirley thinks the memoir is “virtually all fiction.”
