As we reported, Meghan Markle‘s estranged half-sister Samantha Markle tried to show up unannounced at Kensington Palace, and was reportedly denied!

Despite the drama, in an interview with DailyMailTV published on Monday, the 53-year-old considers her trip to London “a wonderful experience” as she was able to hand over a letter — “an olive branch” — to security.
According to the Florida resident:
“I wasn’t trying to crash anything, I’m very polite and respectful. I was not turned away from Kensington Palace. I’m pretty mature, I’m pretty composed, I’m not the kind of person that’s turned away… I was very respectful and I went there to deliver a letter. Nobody was turned away, nobody was disrespectful and it was a wonderful experience. It was a nice experience and nobody was mean to me at all, I was quite surprised.”
Although the mom-of-three wouldn’t reveal the exact contents of the note, she said it was mostly about their dad Thomas Markle, and how she hopes the letter will lead to a reconciliation among all parties.
“I can’t tell you what I wrote in the letter but I think I accomplished my goal and we’ll just have to wait and see how it was received… I wanted to express some sentiments and set some records straight. I can’t give the details of that but I really wanted the world and really my sister and the British Royal family to know what happened and know the truth about a lot of things.”
Samantha even has a direct message for Meghan:
“Let’s just cut through all the crap, you’re a woman, life is short. I believe you have it in your heart to do the right thing here… You know Dad loves you, you know he’s been there for you more than anyone, so don’t let this public monster and misperception that he’s like a sperm donor dad trying to be involved all of a sudden… You know that’s not true and so to let that happen, come on Meg, have a heart, I know you’re a woman, I know you have a heart in there… God, the Grinch grew a heart, albeit at the last minute. I’m not comparing you to the Grinch but I will say I know you have it in you to make this right.”
Speaking of her father, Samantha refutes rumors that Thomas faked his health problems, which forced him to miss Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry.
“I don’t know if there was a breakdown [in their relationship]… I think the heart attack and all of that public speculation about a fake heart attack was just crazy… And that he had to endure that on his own while he was humiliated was sick and crazy. I think she needs to put him in the spotlight for being an amazing dad and I think she needs to be truthful about it… If she’s not allowed to speak about it because of royal protocol, she has to make it private and she knows where the respect has to come from. She knows the truth and only Meg can make this better.”
In regards to Markle Sr. being caught staging fake paparazzi photos, she says it was “not a photo scandal,” and that he forced into it after being portrayed “like a fat, nasty slob” by the media.
Samantha says the real issue is that her father was denied an invitation to the royal wedding.
“He was told to lay low. He kept waiting for involvement and for flight arrangements that never came… He was being publicly taunted the whole time, photographed to make him look like a slob and there was no photo scam… I said Dad, ‘You have dignity, you’re an established wonderful man, take a business card – you make those people see you as you really are, you get photographs out there so people can see you’re not a fat, disgusting slob as paparazzi are trying to make you look like you are.’… [Then] he was accused of faking a heart attack, a photo scandal and that overshadowed what was really going on, which was he had not been invited [to the wedding]… He had a speech prepared and it was all grossly unfair. That is the truth.”‘
She also claims Meghan’s mom Doria Ragland was made to look like the better parent.
“With all due respect, Doria is her mom but Doria was not there for most of her life like my dad was and Doria does not get to step in the picture all of a sudden and allow my father to be pushed into a corner… My dad is amazing. If you could imagine a combination of Rob Reiner and Tom Hanks, that is my dad… He doesn’t have a negative bone in his body. He was taking Meg to school, raising her, building stages for every production, paying for her school, picking her up at every dance recital, dropping her off… She lived with my dad solely for much of her life. The public doesn’t know so let’s get our facts straight before we judge. Really.”
Although she hopes the entire Markle family will be embraced by the royals, Samantha does not plan to reach out to Queen Elizabeth II.
“Addressing her is not appropriate… I know people have done that before – my brother – but she’s 93, 94 years old, it’s not her issue… It’s very disrespectful to address the Queen so no I’m not going that route. I know the public would love me to or say that’s my next move but I’m not tacky… With all due respect, I think the next move is not mine, the ball is in my sister’s court and it’s kind of cheesy to minimize it to a tennis game when really, this is life, we’re real people, human beings, real family, real love… It’s not a game but she needs to do the right thing now and she knows how much my dad loves her and has given her… It’s a real family and life is very short so I just hope, for her sake as well, that Meg doesn’t let this go… I was concerned about my father passing away without resolve here because that would be awful for everybody and I really doubt she could live with that. She needs to do the right thing.”
