Sarah Jessica Parker is riding high on that shoe promo train!
We can tell she’s really excited about her new footwear collection! And that excitement is rubbing off on us and probably all you shoe-lovers out there, as well!
The actress recently spoke more in-depth about her line, dubbed SJP Collection, and revealed some of the inspiration behind certain design elements.
She said:
“The thing is, when I was growing up, we really didn’t have two nickels to rub together, but my mother always made sure that my sisters and I had two grosgrain ribbons in our hair. The rule was that we ironed them every single morning. We even had a special bureau dedicated to hair ribbons. I have them for my own daughters now, and my nieces wear them too. The grosgrain ribbons make SJP’s really identifiable to others and really personal to me.”
We love the touch of grosgrain! It works as a signature element without overpowering the design!
SJP also spoke about the height of the heels, and how she worked to make sure they weren’t sky-high. She explained:
“These heels are high, but not like you’re on stilts. There’s nothing sexy about not being able to walk.”
