In many parts of America, generations of bigotry are finally eroding. Antiquated, narrow ideas are slowly being replaced by tolerance and even, in many cases, full-fledged acceptance.
Well, not on her watch!
A tireless champion of an overrepresented majority burdened by the shackles of guilt that come with entitlement and privilege, Sarah Palin is hellheckbent on saving Christmas!
Jesus Christ.
No, seriously. JC is the topic of her upcoming book!
Much like Sarah thinks marriage should be reserved for couples whose love she deems appropriate, Sarah implies holiday cheer should be reserved for believers of certain religions who drink the blood and eat the body of their savior!
Publisher HarperCollins says her book, A Happy Holiday IS a Merry Christmas, is about “reserving Jesus Christ in Christmas” and it promises to “illustrate the reasons why the celebration of Jesus Christ’s nativity is the centerpiece of [Palin’s] faith.”
So everyone whose happy holidays included celebrating Hanukkah or Kwanza or any other tradition that doesn’t explicitly revolve around Jesus H. was totally ruining it for Christians?
Umm, that doesn’t sound right to us at all!
We were taught to never judge a book by its cover (wait, can we judge them by their author? LOLz), so let’s allow Sarah to explain her own reasoning.
The former Vice-Presidential candidate revealed:
“Amidst the fragility of this politically correct era, it is imperative that we stand up for our beliefs before the element of faith in a glorious and traditional holiday like Christmas is marginalized and ignored.”
Aww! The Maverick feels marginalized and ignored?!
We’re passing up painfully obvious punchlines and simply asking her to keep those feelings of marginalization in mind as she types out her treatise on “saving” Christmas.
We would HATE for her book to marginalize or ignore those with differing beliefs and viewpoints viewpoints!
