Get ready for some Friday fun!!
Canadian indie pop group Walk off the Earth has joined forces with Sarah Silverman to cover Video Killed The Radio Star — and they’re giving us the EXCLUSIVE first look at the adorable music video!
Sarah, and her angelic cartoonish tone, is all up in the booth having a blast with band members Gianni “Luminati” Nicassio, Ryan Marshall, Joel Cassady, Sarah Blackwood, as well as a slew of cute kiddos. Seriously, so sweet!
On the collab, which has been a long time in the making, the group had only bomb things to say about the multi-talented comedian:

“We have always loved collaborating with different artists and met Sarah Silverman over Twitter back in 2012. We talked about recording something fun together ever since and now the time has finally come! An iconic song with an iconic actor, she has such fun energy that fit into the song and video right away. It was a blast working with her and she couldn’t sound any more perfect in this cover. She’s top shelf!”

Twitter is great, isn’t it?!

Silverman does bring such a vibrant energy to the tune, and the band complements her nicely with their contagious positive vibes!
Although they are putting out upbeat jams, WOTE faced a serious loss in 2018. The group’s keyboardist, Mike “Beard Guy” Taylor, passed away in late December. They have made the tough decision to carry on and will be paying tribute to him during their upcoming world tour. So touching and sweet — we know this can’t be easy for them. You can check out the full list of stops HERE!
And don’t forget to ch-ch-check out the silly fun video (below)!

Thoughts on the sound, Perezcious readers? We totally LOVE IT and it’s such a charming take on the late ’70s hit!
The band is rolling out new music soon, so stay friggin’ tuned!! And SOUND OFF with all your opinions on the legendary remake in the comments (below)!
