Savannah Chrisley Just Revealed Exactly How Hard Her Parents' Prison Sentences Have Been On Her Sister Chloe, And...

This is so heartbreaking…

Savannah Chrisley dropped the latest episode of her Unlocked podcast on Tuesday. In it, she shed light on the aftermath of her mom Julie Chrisley being resentenced to the exact same term after the initial bank fraud and tax evasion prison sentence she received (84 months… oof) following the long fight for her appeal.

During this week’s episode, the understandably emotional 27-year-old began by reading part of a letter that she read in court during last week’s appeal hearing. It began:

“The past two years have been unimaginably difficult. I know that God destined me for motherhood, but never did I expect to be placed in this role under these circumstances.”

That line, of course, is a reference to the fact that Savannah has been tasked with raising her younger siblings — sister Chloe, 11, and brother Grayson, 18 — with Julie and Todd Chrisley in prison on the bank fraud and tax evasion charges. Chloe specifically has been going through a very hard time with that. Still reading from the letter, Sav said:

“Chloe, who has already experienced the pain of abandonment by her biological parents, now faces that same heartbreak again with the absence of my parents — her true parents. She asked me, ‘Do you think mom will be home to teach me to drive? Or will mom be here for my first high school dance?’”

That is so heartbreaking for Chloe. We get it, Todd and Julie were convicted. No question. But how it’s affected their daughter downstream is awful. Ugh.

Then, Savannah spoke candidly about how many things Julie and Todd have missed while in prison. She noted that each young person had been through “moments when children need their parents most,” but didn’t have them around:

“My mother has missed so many of the moments that define a family — Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, Chloe entering middle school and starting cheerleading, Grayson’s last baseball season, senior year, prom, and now the college admissions process. All moments when children need their parents most.”

More than just lamenting how the Chrisley Knows Best stars have missed family functions, the Sassy By Savannah mogul explained that Chloe is “struggling in school.” Plus, both young Chrisleys are battling anxiety and depression that “sometimes leaves them debilitated.” Sav said:

“Chloe is struggling in school, despite the resources I’ve tried to provide. Both she and Grayson wrestle with anxiety and depression that sometimes leaves them debilitated. I’m fighting with every ounce of my being to keep them from becoming another statistic.”

Wow.

Parents especially should really take into account how their families will be affected before they commit crimes that could put them in prison!

Sending all our love to Grayson and Chloe, who — unlike their parents — are totally innocent in all this.
