Time Warner Cable Customers : Say Bye Bye to MTV, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon!

If you are a Colbert Report or Hills fan and are a Time Warner Cable customer, you may want to start looking into DirecTV stat! Come January 1st (yes, tomorrow) you may not be able to see them at home!

Viacom, the media company that owns Comedy Central, MTV and Nickelodeon, among many other channels, and Time Warner Cable have been unable to resolve a business agreement and is threatening Viacom channel service to subscribers.

Viacom gets paid by Time Warner to carry its channels on the cable network. They claim that they’ve been trying to negotiate a “fair” renewal price for its channels for months and months, but Time Warner Cable has been unresponsive and “unreasonable” so talks have stalled.

The cable company has said it is prepared to refund customers for the lost programming if a deal can’t be reached by New Year’s, though the amount hasn├óΓé¼Γäót been determined yet.

Corporate greed rears its ugly head again!
