Scarlett Johansson looooooves her technology!
Not only is she in a little movie called Her that won best screenplay last night at the Golden Globes, where she plays the voice of a futuristic operating system, but she’s the new voice of a present-day product as well: SodaStream!
And by ‘voice’, we mean she’s going to be in commercials! Though, we would totes kill to have a SodaStream that spoke to us in that raspy voice of hers! LOLz!
The commercial is slated to be shown during the fourth quarter of Super Bowl XLVIII and kicks off a multiyear, worldwide endorsement deal! That’s big news for a company that hasn’t had a whole ton of advertising so far — except for a commercial that ran during Super Bowl XLVII in last year!
Here’s an interesting fact — originally, SodaStream wanted to make a commercial that went right for the throat of major soda-makers! They were turned down, though, probably because the game is sponsored by Pepsi. This year, they’re going for the Scarlett approach!
SodaStream calls Scarlett a brand ambassador, and she’s used the product for five or six years and gives them as gifts!
