Scott Disick thought Kristin Cavallari got a little too honest on her latest Let’s Be Honest episode!
On Tuesday’s podcast, the 37-year-old reality star slammed Scott for sliding into her DMs on Instagram. She said he recently reached out, years after they stopped being friends! Per KCav, the message said:
“Hey!!! It’s been such a long time, it’s crazy. Kind of crazy how our lives ended up being kind of similar. I feel like it would be so good to see you and catch up and talk about the things you’ve got to go through with kids and changing your life around over and over. I really miss you though and wish I would have reached out earlier just been busy trying to be the best dad I can be. I don’t have time for much but trying to think about myself a little bit again. Trying, anyway. Hope to hear from you. Just text me so it’s easier to chat.”
Kristin called the message the “most manipulative” thing ever, arguing it was “classic textbook manipulation control bulls**t.” Damn! Why? It all has to do with his ex, Kourtney Kardashian! You see, Scott and Kristin were really good pals back in the day. After the Talentless founder introduced her to Kourtney, they became “really good friends.” But everything changed when Scott and Kourt briefly broke up in 2011.

At the time, Kristin and Lord Disick went out with other friends in Las Vegas. Then rumors started circulating that the Laguna Beach alum hooked up with him! Whoa! Kristin denied they got together. But she said she knows Scott was “100 percent” behind the rumor and did it “to piss off Kourtney” enough that they would get back together. Spoiler: it worked. However, Kristin’s friendship with Kourtney was collateral damage. Their relationship never recovered from then on.
Back to the present day, Kristin wondered if Scott only reached out again to drive a wedge with Kourtney some more. Given their messy history, we get why she questioned his motives! However, a source told Page Six on Wednesday that Scott was not trying to be “manipulative.” So now he’s annoyed at Kristin for exposing his DM and making him look bad! The insider said:
“Scott has no idea why Kristin thinks his text to her was manipulative and that’s not at all how he intended it to be interpreted. Scott doesn’t understand why Kristin felt the need to read something he felt was a personal message between them out to the entire world.”
This is Kristin Cavallari! She gives zero f**ks! If she wants to expose someone for sliding into her DMs, she will with no hesitation! Consider that — and whether she’ll think you’re a clone — before you reach out!
The insider noted that The Kardashians star is not “embarrassed” by what happened, but he “just doesn’t see the point and finds it kind of disrespectful.” Hmm. They continued:
“Scott was being genuine and didn’t see what the big deal was to reach out and see if Kristin wanted to catch up. He’s really surprised by the way she reacted and didn’t see that coming at all. Scott feels like she could have declined or even ignored the message if she wasn’t interested.”
Maybe she should have just ignored the text — if anything, to avoid more drama in her life? But if what Kristin said is true and Scott ruined her friendship with Kourt by spreading these rumors, it’s no wonder she was upset he was brazen enough to reach out to her at all, enough to put him on blast! Dude did not even lead with an apology! Not to mention that the whole message was just a massive red flag! But we’re not shocked Lord D doesn’t see what was wrong with the DM. This was the same guy who thought it was OK to message Kourtney’s other ex to shade her for making out with Travis Barker in Italy!
At this point, Scott should learn his lesson! No more unnecessarily sliding into people’s DMs unless he wants to risk the chance they’ll be exposed! Reactions, Perezcious readers?
