Things Aren't Looking Good For Jerry Sandusky's Second Mile Charity

Second Mile charity
As we kind of expected, it sounds like the Second Mile foundation is preparing to fold following the Jerry Sandusky Penn State sex scandal.
David Woodle, the new interim chief executive of the charity, admits that a number of donors are no longer willing to support Second Mile and the organization is currently seeking to transfer its youth programs to other nonprofits.
Meanwhile, Woodle isn’t giving up without a fight and is still hoping for a little help from other donors, telling sources:

“We’re working hard to figure out how the programs can survive this event. We aren’t protective of this organization that it survives at all costs.”

The charity’s board of directors has also hired former Philadelphia District Attorney Lynne Abraham to investigate how Second Mile handled the scandal after learning of allegations against Sandusky in 2002 and 2008.
Her inquiry should be finished by the end of the year, after which the board will publicly address issues of concern such as WHY Sandusky was allowed to continue working with children despite reports of sexual abuse in PSU football facilities.
