Jen Affleck is not the only one pregnant from The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives! Turns out Mikayla Matthews is expecting a little one of her own!
The reality star revealed the news that she and her husband, Jace Terry, are expecting their fourth child through a family photo. In it, Mikayla is seen holding several sonogram pictures while cradling her baby bump and posing with her husband and three children — 7-year-old son Beckham, 5-year-old daughter Haven, and 3-year-old daughter Tommie. According to the content creator, she and Jace “were not planning or trying.” She continued:
“I miss my period a lot with my health issues, so for me it’s normal to sometimes be off track. Then a month and a half went by and I was telling my friends, like, ‘Maybe I should take a test.’ I wasn’t having any symptoms which made me think I wasn’t pregnant, because I usually get symptoms very early, like two or three weeks in. Then I take the test and it was instantly positive.”
While Jace and Mikayla are “excited” to add a new addition to their family, the couple is also a bit worried about her pregnancy due to her ongoing health issues. For those who don’t know, Mikayla has been battling an unknown chronic illness over the past couple of years that she previously said was sparked by her breast implants. She shared:
“With my health stuff, I didn’t think I could get pregnant right now. My husband was with me when I took the test. He never really has much of a reaction to anything, but we were both pretty in shock. Then it set in and we got really excited. We’re definitely excited, nervous about my health and possibly passing anything on, but excited.”
Hopefully, the rest of her pregnancy will be smooth sailing! It sounds like we will get to see the early stages of her journey on the next season of Mormon Wives! Mikayla revealed to People that she and Jace told her kids “on the show” following her first ultrasounds, adding:
“They said Santa brought them a baby for Christmas. It was so sweet.”
