Wait, wait, wait… did Selena Gomez get married over the holidays?!
We know she’s on cloud nine with her engagement to Benny Blanco. But thanks to a new source we have reason to believe she may have had a private ceremony just for the two of them to make it official.
DeuxMoi revealed on her Deux U podcast Thursday that she got an email this week with a “blind item” that wasn’t too hard to decipher. The anonymous user wrote:
“This newly engaged a list businesswoman/actress and her new fiancé are already married and secretly did it over the New Year’s holiday at her home. They are still planning on throwing a much bigger wedding with their close family and friends, but a list businesswoman/actress didn’t want to wait any longer to marry her man.”
First off, if true… SUPER cute! We love the idea they took the pressure off and became husband and wife but are still planning on the big party and ceremony later on.

But why should we buy into the idea at all? We mean, it’s an anonymous tip, it’s a blind item… Well, here’s why. See, Deux got THIS email back in August:
“This a list actress/semi-retired singer got engaged over the weekend to her bf of a year recently surrounded by friends at their usual beach house hang out.”
And another in mid-December that said:
“This a list retired singer now fully turned actress is planning on walking down the aisle fairl quickly and doesn’t want to waste time when she knows 1000% this is what she wants and who she wants. Her and her new fiancé aren’t planning on being engaged for long and want to throw a big celebration either in her home state or in California somewhere at the beginning of the new year”
The wording and format of all three was incredibly similar, enough that the gossip hound thinks they’re from the same person. And that first blind? Well, that turned out to be spot on! The Only Murder In The Building star DID reveal she was engaged just four months after that email.
Of course, she may have gotten engaged later, and the source was just guessing. But fans suspected Selly was engaged that month after seeing pics where she was hiding her ring finger. Hmm… And again, they turned out to be right… right??
