Next time someone tells you signing petitions are a waste of time, show them this!
Three months ago, makeup artist Jose Antonio Figueroa posted a mockup (above) of a Selena Quintanilla for MAC makeup collaboration, and sparked a major movement!

Fans of the late singer joined forces to bring the idea to the attention of MAC Cosmetics, even creating a petition on Change.org and getting #SelenaQuintanillaForMAC trending on social media!
Originally the petition had a goal of 5,000 signatures, but now it has reached over 30,000!
Amazing!
MAC even responded to the petition with this statement:
“The loyalty and enthusiasm of Selena’s fans are clearly evident and we love this. M├é┬╖A├é┬╖C admires the passion and joy Selena brought to the world. She was an amazing person with amazing talent. We consider all types of feedback like this as we plan our collaborations.”
Now it’s being reported that the collaboration is closer to happening than ever, as the peeps at MAC have contacted Selena’s sister Suzette Quintanilla!
Nothing has been officially confirmed, but we just have a feeling this will really happen!
It’s too awesome an idea not to bring to fruition, and anyway, MAC loves doing collaborations of all types, so why not this one?
We definitely think it’ll sell out!
