Shakira may have some sort of physical thing going on with fellow Voice judge Adam Levine, but after hearing what she had to say about her baby daddy Gerard Piqué we’re certain that her love for him is unfaltering!
Shakira and Gerard have a child together and are not married, but that doesn’t stop them from setting a prime relationship example for us all!!
In a recent interview, Shakira spilled on what makes their relationship so healthy:
“He has his own world and that’s actually one of the healthiest things about the relationship. I know that he’s the one person who is with me not because of any interest other than the love that unites us. There’s nothing I can offer him beyond my womanhood ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ does that word exist in English?”
‘Womanhood’ does exist in English, but we’re sure you’re referring to SEX! And we bet that sex with a woman whose Hips Don’t Lie is no small offering!!
But we totes understand what she’s saying! A lot of Hollywood relationships turn out to just be publicity stunts, but Shakira and Gerard have realms of fame that are so different from each other that they really can’t use each other’s skill sets to bolster one another. A soccer player can’t play better by being associated with a singer, and vice-versa!
Granted, there’s sure to be some publicity benefits, but the publicity doesn’t help the skill set!
As far as motherhood goes, Shakira doesn’t claim to be any sort of expert. She said:
“I’m still trying to figure it out. And I have a feeling I will try to do the same for the rest of my life. Some people put it like it’s very idyllic, some people put it like it’s a torturing experience, but it’s not quite one thing or the other. It’s like life ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ it comes with everything.”
Very wise words from a very wise Voice judge! We love how down-to-earth and real Shakira is about the whole thing!!
Well, minus that time she told everyone that she wanted to breastfeed Milan until college. LOLz!
