Shameless fans, we did not see this character’s return coming!
After being presumed dead at the end of season 3, Jimmy aka Steve played by Justin Chatwin made an epic return in last night’s AH-Mazing finale—and we have so many emotions!
After Fiona (Emmy Rossum) received an envelope stuffed with cash upon conman Jimmy’s disappearance last year, we thought it was all over— especially since the actor’s name was removed from the opening credits and he was made no mention of throughout season four…
But as we saw in last night’s episode, Steve, Jimmy whatever is back (now going by the name Jack) and ready to reenter this family’s crazy life!
And the best part about this, one may ask?! The cast had no idea it was coming!
Genuinely shocked, Emmy took to Twitter after receiving an influx of calls and emails about the OMG TV moment:

And then, the adorable actress did some further investigating on the casting shocker heard round the interwebs!
She revealed that producers were super sneaky snakes, deciding to keep his return spectacularly private from EVERYONE:

Now that he’s back in the Gallagher’s lives, things are only going to get more complicated!
