Sharon Osbourne will be returning to The X Factor to be the guest mentor for judge Louis Walsh during the judges’ houses stage of the popular UK show.
Filming begins later this week in Shannon, Ireland and a friend of Louis’ says:
“Sharon knows she’s only back briefly and is determined to stir things up and make mischief. She wants to have fun and make her mark on this year’s show. Louis is absolutely delighted that Sharon is coming back. They are great pals off screen and work well together.
“She is a great character with big opinions on everything and he has dearly missed having her around. But Sharon is also a very good mentor who will help Louis to choose his finalists and offer them great advice. Louis had to clear her return with Simon Cowell who is pleased because he knows she will be good for ratings.”
Sharon quit the show back in 2008 due to constant bickering with judge Dannii Minogue, who is missing the auditions round of the show this year as she just had a baby.
Sharon previously said of Dannii:
“I didn’t enjoy working with her at all and the prospect of spending six months sitting next to her, I thought ‘my life is better than that’. I didn’t hate her because hatred is very close to love and takes a lot of emotion and I don’t have that time for her…Dannii – I couldn’t stand her. She wasn’t so much a dim bulb as a bulb in a power cut. Fucking useless.”
Yikes!
Well we’re sure Dannii is relieved to be missing out on Sharon’s stint on the show this year!
