Shia LaBeouf Says All Of His Antics Were For Performance Art! Claims He Was Pulling A Joaquin Phoenix On Everyone!

Hmmm…not entirely sure we believe this excuse…
Shia LaBeouf has explained his bizarre antics, the plagiarism, skywriting, retirement, and all that jazz, on it being one giant bout of performance art!
Pulling a Joaquin Phoenix, eh?
The actor took to his Twitter to post two pics of paper that explain everything that he was doing as performance art. Both of which have been deleted, but can be viewed in their full, ranting glory (below)!
Essentially, the Nymphomaniac actor claims that the hashtag, #stopcreating, is a project he created with Luke Turner who is a “Meta-Modernist,” Kenneth Goldsmith who was the Museum of Modern Art’s first poet laureate, and David Ayer (who wrote Training Day & End Of Watch).
In the explanation, he states:

├óΓé¼┼ôPerformance art has been a way of appealing directly to a large public, as well as shocking audiences into reassessing their own notions of art and its relation to culture. My twitter ├óΓé¼╦£@thecampaignbook├óΓé¼Γäó is meta-modernist performance art. A Performative redress which is all a public apology really is.”

In addition to this, Shia also said that his plagiarism was intentional!
He explained:

├óΓé¼┼ôAll art is either plagiarism or revolution & to be revolutionary in art today, is to be reactionary. In the midst of being embroiled in acts of intended plagiarism, the world caught me & I reacted. The show began. I became completely absorbed, oblivious to things around me.”

Which, we totally get wanting to start a conversation on plagiarism, but the whole thing sounds like it was his only way to get out of what happened without losing his credibility.
If it REALLY were performance art and he were intentionally plagiarizing, do you REALLY think that Daniel Clowes wouldn’t have been notified beforehand
Would they have sent such a confused and outraged cease & desist letter to Shia’s lawyer over all the things he’d been doing?
Something smells fishy to us…
What do U think?!
Is Shia being honest or was this a last minute attempt to keep his credibility?
