Although Shrek the Musical didn’t do as well as hoped, the movies have always done BIG business!
Now, Dreamworks execs are hoping to cash in on their franchise making a Shrek spinoff!
The concept? It’ll be centered on Shrek’s secondary sidekick, Puss in Boots.
Tom Wheeler is writing the flick’s screenplay for the spinoff, which will detail how Puss and Shrek first met.
Joining the cast to voice the flick will be Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek. And Zach Galifianakis is said to be in negotiations to voice Humpty Dumpty.
The DreamWorks Animation movie is set to hit theaters on November 4, 2011.
