Simon Cowell is lending his full support to a new campaign in Britain called The Health Lottery which will raise millions for health projects across the country.
The drawing offers a top prize of $160,000 to entrants, while $80 million will go towards helping people in need across the U.K. in its first year alone!
Not that Simon needs any more money, but he’s already bought 5,000 tickets!
He’s not exactly playing to win, but if he does he’s already vowed to reinvest any winnings right back into charity, telling sources:
“I thought it was one of those great ideas that can make a real difference and to show my support I’ve bought 5,000 Health Lottery tickets. Raising ├é┬ú50 million in the first year is going to help a huge amount of people and if my numbers come up I will put the money back into the charity.”
Aww! See, he’s not as mean as some people think he is!
On another note, we think this health lottery system is a WONDERFUL idea. If you’re going to gamble your money away, it might as well go to toward a great cause!
