The X Factor Providence auditions kicked off yesterday and have turned the island upside down with its superstar panel!!
While the judges still have today and tomorrow left in Rhode Island, Simon Cowell is speaking out some more about Britney and Demi (or as we like to call, Britmi) and how everything is working out so far this season!
Well, so far, so good, says Simon!
On Britney, Cowell revealed:
“There’s kind of a mystique about her which I think is what what kind of attracted to me to her in the first place. I knew what I read, but I didn’t know what was going on in her head and that’s why I was kind of fascinated.”
Oooh! Mystique! We like that! Simon went on to say of Brit Brit:
“She’s taken the role really seriously who she thinks is a star and more importantly who isn’t and I trust her instincts.”
As for Simon’s newly adopted little sis, Demi? Cowell confessed:
“She’s like a total brat! She’s just completely fearless, irreverent. I think it was important because me and LA, I’m 52 and LA is a lot older than I am, a lot – and a lot of people who watch our show are 16, 17, 18 and younger and so we had to have someone I thought on the panel that could reflect that younger audience, and I’ve never done that before and I wasn’t sure it was going to work.”
It seems like BOTH Brit Brit and Demi are working out well! After hearing some of their recent critiques, it sounds like they are finally coming into their own roles on the show!
