Simon Cowell is finally showing us his vocal chops… And fans have THOUGHTS!
After more than two decades of judging singers on various reality competition shows like American Idol, The X Factor, and America’s Got Talent, the record executive finally gave fans an earful of HIS singing voice! And the results?? Well…
In an Instagram video Simon uploaded on Monday, the TV personality sang happy birthday to himself in honor of his 65th trip around the sun… Before popping off a sarcastic and self-deprecating message! He said:
“And that’s why I decided never to be a singer.”
HA! Well, even though he may not be a vocal powerhouse like some of the talent he’s discovered (One Direction, Fifth Harmony, Little Mix, etc.), at least he is self-aware. And we’ve gotta give him credit for that! Lolz!

He finished his message:
“I’m now at an age where when you say how old you are, people clap. And that’s depressing. However, I’m alive, I’m healthy, I’m happy, and thank you everyone for your kind messages. Take care — till next year. Bye-bye.”
Yikes!! Nothing beats that matter-of-fact Cowell-style humor…

In the comments, one fan gave his singing voice a dose of Simon’s own medicine, repeating one of the lines Simon (and Randy Jackson, of course) has made famous from his time on TV:
“Unfortunately, it’s a ‘no’ from me.”
HA!
Others, however, just wished the entrepreneur a happy birthday… Including his fellow AGT judges Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel! Heidi wrote:
“Happy, Happy Birthday Simon. Love you with all my heart”
Howie added:
“Happy Birthday. I bought you something so amazing I kept it for myself.”
Loves it! Happy belated b-day, Simon!
