Looks like Simon’s got ambitious plans for his return to BGT!
Last month, ITV president Adam Crozier confirmed that Simon Cowell would be returning to Britain’s Got Talent as a judge, following The Hoff’s firing!
Now, Simon has opened up about his return to the show, and he’s aiming HIGH this season:
“I miss Britain and I miss the British public and I miss judging them. I want to find the next generation of talent in 2012. Different and new acts, younger and better talent. You want someone who can be a star all over the world and by coming back in 2012, it├óΓé¼Γäós the year of the Olympics, it├óΓé¼Γäós a big year for Britain, we are going to be in the world├óΓé¼Γäós spotlight and I want this show to be back in the world spotlight.”
“Even though they are both my shows, I would like to find a better winner on Britain├óΓé¼Γäós Got Talent than The X Factor. To me it├óΓé¼Γäós a challenge. What I really, really passionately believe when I do these shows is that you have to find someone who can be known all over the world from appearing on the show. That├óΓé¼Γäós what happened with Paul Potts and that├óΓé¼Γäós what happened with Susan Boyle.”
And in case UR skeptical, Simon’s putting his money where his mouth is! We’re hearing that he’s contributing ├é┬ú250,000 of his OWN MONEY to the year’s prize, bringing it to ├é┬ú500,000 (apx $782,000)!!!!!
Shiz is about to get real on Britain’s Got Talent! We can’t wait!
