Yes, Simone Biles is friends with Taylor Swift, despite what the haters think!
There has been a lot of conversation over the past few days about who attended or who didn’t even get an invite to the pop star’s wedding to Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden on Friday. And one of the names on the guest list that fans ridiculed online was Simone! The Olympian is not putting up with it, though!

On Monday, Simone posted pictures to Instagram of the looks she and her husband, Jonathan Owens, wore for the wedding. The gymnast rocked Do Long halter-style gown, which featured fringe burgundy leather, tulle, silver metallic eyelets, and a subtle cutout at the hip. Her football star hubby matched with a velvet suit. Referencing Taylor and Travis’ wedding logo (and the pop star’s beloved song), she wrote in the caption:
“the perfect love story, followed by the perfect nighTT”

Many applauded Simone’s dress. However, one social media user could not help but question:

“The gold medalist saw the comment and decided to clap back! She replied:

And in Simone’s defense, it also takes two seconds to Google the connection between her and Taylor! LOLz! Or to realize that her husband is connected to Travis through the NFL! Jonathan is a safety for the Indianapolis Colts, while Taylor’s now-husband (!!!) is a tight end for Kansas City Chiefs. As for Simone and Taylor, let’s break down their history.
Over the years, the two women have publicly supported each other. Simone used Tay Tay’s popular track Ready for It for part of her floor routine during the 2024 US Olympic Gymnastics Trials. The singer reacted to a video of the performance on X (Twitter), saying:
“Watched this so many times and still unready. She’s ready for it tho”
Before that, Taylor voiced her support for Simone in 2021 when she returned to the competition at the Tokyo Olympics after pulling out of several events due to the twisties. The Evermore artist narrated a video about the athlete for NBC’s coverage of the games, and Simone reacted to the sweet words, saying:
“I’m crying. how special. I love you @taylorswift13.”
