Music legend, Sir Elton John, is moving onto a new media platform and will take over the UK newspaper The Independent for the Worlds Aids Day issue on December 1.
The themed edition, on which Sir Elton will serve as guest editor, will include news, features and commentary relevant to the fight against Aids as well as other news and pieces curated by the music icon himself.
Excitement is in the air as the chairman of the newspaper, Evgeny Lebedev, who happens to be a friend of Sir Elton’s, says, “We are proud to have Elton editing the paper for a day”
Bono, of U2, edited a 2006 issue to raise awareness for project (Red) to help fight Aids in Africa.
