If you hear the sound of an ego inflating this morning, no worries, it’s just Simon Cowell.

Simon, by order of the Queen, will be receiving knighthood next month. He was recommended to be put on the Queen’s Birthday Honours list by former prime minster Gordon Brown, who sited the music mogul’s numerous charity ventures and his contributions to the British recording industry.

Brilliant! Congrats!
