The Slender Man stabber is getting out!
As we previously reported, Morgan Geyser lured best friend Peyton Leutner into the woods during a sleepover in 2014 and brutally stabbed her 19 times with a kitchen knife as Anissa Weier egged her on. Why had they done it? The sixth graders wanted to please the mythical internet creature, Slender Man. The duo later confessed to the vicious attack and were sentenced to a combined 65 years in a mental institution. However, Weier got out of the Winnebago Mental Health Institute in Wisconsin in 2021 – four years after the conviction. Now, Geyser is also to be released from the psychiatric facility.

Waukesha County Circuit Judge Michael Bohren agreed to release the now 22-year-old from the institute on Thursday. The judge initially approved this back in January after experts testified Geyser was no longer a threat to the public after making progress in the facility. Bohren said at the time, per CNN:
“She’s done what she’s supposed to do. She appears to have a good attitude.”
However, the plans were put on pause! The state health officials requested last week for her to remain committed. Why? They noticed several “red flags” in her behavior – like what she was reading inside the facility! WISN reported that Deputy District Attorney Abbey Nickolie revealed:
“The reading material that she’s so focused on, has themes of sexual sadism and murder and the sale of human organs on the black market. All of these things that the treatment team at Winnebago had no idea that she was so interested in.”
Whoa! WHAT?!
All of that is very concerning, especially given her history! Per The New York Post, health officials said Geyser also communicated with a man outside the institution who collects murder memorabilia… She even allegedly sent him a sketch she drew of a decapitated body along with a postcard saying she wanted to be intimate with him. OMG! Nickolie added:
“The state has real concerns these things are, frankly, just red flags at this point.”
Glaring ones! However, The Waukesha Freeman reported that her attorney, Tony Cotton, said Geyser denied having contact with the man in question and that what she read was vetted by the authorities already. Meanwhile, Dr. Kenneth Robbins dismissed any concerns about her release.
Ultimately, Judge Bohren sided with Geyser — despite all these massive red flags! WTF! The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel stated that the judge felt the new information did nothing to change his mind about his previous ruling, saying:
“I don’t see a risk to the public, I don’t see a risk to her. I’m satisfied the state has not met its burden.”
Not a “risk”! How are the alarm bells not firing off for the judge after what the state health officials said!
