We can’t even imagine how scary this must have been for her!
The world was shocked earlier this year when two young girls stabbed their 12-year-old friend Payton Leutner 19 times in an effort to impress the fictional character Slender Man.
Thankfully, Payton lived, and she’s speaking out for the first time since her stabbing.

During 20/20 on Friday night, the little girl’s mother revealed what Payton said kept her going through all of this: “I wanted to live.”
That’s all that we got to hear from Payton, who didn’t appear on-camera, but we don’t need to hear much more. Nothing’s more inspiring than someone who wants to fight for her life!
