If Morgan Wallen’s abrupt Saturday Night Live exit over the weekend accomplished anything, it was giving the writers new material!
As we covered on Sunday, the controversial country crooner totally snubbed the SNL cast when host Mikey Madison was wrapping up the show as he darted off the Studio 8H stage rather than staying and mingling like tradition calls for. See (below):

Shortly after, he shared a pic of a private jet on his Instagram Story with the following message:
Oh, brother. And now an SNL writer is hitting back!

On Sunday, seasoned jokester Josh Patten took to his own IG Story to share a photo of a Krispy Kreme truck which he fittingly captioned:
“get me to God’s Country”
HA!
Hours later, he responded to an online comment speculating, “Guess Patten’s not a Morgan Wallen fan?” with an eye-rolling emoji:
And right after that, he shared his 2023 Apple Music replay list, which featured SEVERAL of Morgan’s songs. He wrote:
“How quickly the media forgets 2023”
On the following slide, he shared a photo of a Krispy Kreme store in NYC and wrote:
“Bravely standing up to Whiskey Riff dot com so that my children and grandchildren won’t have to”
He added Morgan’s son with Post Malone I Had Some Help. See (below):
