Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi finally did it.
In February, the Jersey Shore star revealed she had been diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer, specifically adenocarcinoma. Her doctors thankfully caught it early. However, they wanted her to undergo a hysterectomy to be safe. Snooki put it off for a while due to how “scared” she’d been, but she is now revealing she got it done. The 38-year-old reality star took to TikTok on Friday to post a video of herself giving the thumbs up in the hospital bed, along with the caption:
“We did it, Joe. Hysterectomy.”

Nicole received a ton of supportive messages in the comments, including from one fan who wrote:
“So proud of you. Yeah, recovery sucks…and then one day, it is all over, you’re healed, and it is all behind you…you got this…take it easy and heal.”
To which the MTV personality replied:
“Hope so cause I’m struggling
She also told another social media user that “this recovery is not great.” Oh no! Nicole opened up more about the “very scary” operation in a vlog posted to Instagram, which took her followers through the entire process, including her parents driving her to the hospital and her counting down before the procedure began. Once out of surgery, the Snooki & Jwoww alum broke down in tears while giving an update. Nicole shared that while she is “trying to be tough,” she is not doing “great” amid her recovery. The momma of three explained the doctors did a C-section cut, taking out everything, including the uterus, cervix, the fallopian tubes, and “some parts of my vagina, just to make sure we get everything.” However, they kept her ovaries so she doesn’t go into premenopause. Tearfully, she continued:
“Sorry, it’s just, sorry, it’s just been a lot. … Just dealing with all that pain, it’s not great. I’m doing my best, and I’m trying to stay optimistic. … The first couple days is hell, and then it’s going to get better. So, I’m trying to stay in good spirits.”
After praising her doctors and nurses, Snooki recalled she started “to get nervous and anxious” when they wheeled her to the operating room, to the point where her “heart’s starting to race” and she’s getting “the shakes.” And the second she realized what was about to happen, that she was going into surgery to lose her uterus, cervix, and more, she revealed she began “hysterically bawling.” Aww, Snooki. She added:
“I’m so scared. I don’t know what’s gonna happen. I don’t want to feel pain. It’s very scary”
After the nurses gave her medication to help calm her down, she got it done. Now she has to deal with the “pain” for a few more days before she is “gonna feel brand spanking new” with “no more periods” and no more having to “take birth control.” But most importantly, let’s hope she will be “cancer free.” Watch Snooki’s very emotional and vulnerable video (below):
