Thursday night’s season finale of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation was a barn-burner, as viewers finally got to see Angelina Pivarnick walk down the aisle — along with the SUPER controversial wedding speeches that followed. And now, fans are in on the gory details about why Nicole Polizzi officially retired from the show, too! So. Much. Drama!!!!

As we expected during yesterday’s MTV reality hit, we saw Pivarnick officially tie the knot with hubby Chris Larangeira — a wedding that took place back in November 2019. At the ceremony, Snooki, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, and Deena Cortese all gave speeches to the happy couple that included quite a few not-entirely-tasteful jokes on Angelina’s behalf.
Naturally, it angered the new bride — and her husband — and the girls all confronted each other in several rounds of classic Jersey Shore-style shouting matches. As you can see (below), the wedding was over-the-top, and magnificent, and fun, but also SUPER dramatic:

Immediately afterward, the s**t hit the fan, and Snooki went from 0 to 100 in her decision to step away from the show. As you can see (below), multiple confrontations with Angelina regarding the girls’ inappropriate speech seriously soured the otherwise-special night for everyone involved:

That’s the Jersey Shore drama we all know and love… but at the wedding of one of their own?! Yikes!!! Clearly angered by being roasted at her own wedding, Angelina appropriately reacted, saying at one point:
“It’s the wrong f**king place. It’s the wrong time. You don’t do this at somebody’s wedding.”
Not wrong!!! Later, after emotionally confessing to Deena that she thought “this is it” for her reality TV career, Snooki took to a confessional booth to make her abrupt announcement. Sad and nostalgic, but also clearly ready to move on, the pint-sized meatball told the camera:
“I just love my roomies, always. Jersey Shore is literally my life. I never would have met my best friends, so the fact that is has to end like this, for me, it really sucks. So here comes my breaking news, you guys. There’s reasons why I’ve come to this decision… it’s definitely a hard decision. I’m gonna throw up. OK, you guys, I love you so much and don’t hate me for my decision, but I have to do what’s best for me at the moment, and I am retiring from Jersey Shore. I am not coming back to Jersey Shore for a season four, if there is one, and there’s a lot of reasons why, but the main reason is really, I’m just like…I just can’t do it anymore.”
Wow. And with that… she was done!

The Jersey girl went further, though, explaining the more recent version of the show has been very difficult for her family and her young children. The 32-year-old mom added:
“I hate being away from the kids, I don’t like partying three days in a row, it’s just not my life anymore, and I wanna be home with the kids. I don’t mind a here or there going to a dinner or whatever, but it’s just really hard on me to leave the kids and film the show.”
Totally understandable! The Jersey Shore world won’t ever quite be the same without Snooki, of course, but we get it… life moves on, reality TV stars grow up, and partying becomes less important as kids and more enter the picture.
