She’s setting the record straight and unlike other members of the Real Housewife franchise, she’s attempting to stay as classy as possible.
As you might’ve already heard, Sonja Morgan of The Real Housewives of New York fame, is having some serious money issues. She’s filed a Chapter 11 and reportedly is losing her house, both occurring from the nasty divorce settlement she is going through right now.
However, a lot of false information apparently is being released through the media, so Sonja has put together a statement to clarify her personal and financial position on the matter. She says:
├óΓé¼┼ôI have not made public my financial status affected by my divorce and outstanding business matters as I prefer to keep these matters private. However, it has now become public only due to my Chapter 11 filing, and has raised a lot of questions in the media, along with incorrect assumptions and statements. Many times divorce can be difficult especially when significant assets are co-mingled. Out of respect to my ex-husband, our families, my brand and future ventures, I ask that the media understand that during negotiations with interested parties on all sides I will not be able to discuss any details. I appreciate all the support and professional advice I have received. I look forward to discussing all of this and more as I move forward and my current situation is settled.”
We’re looking forward to it too, as we’re sure Andy Cohen is. We imagine he’ll be the one you sit down with to spill all the details to when the time comes.
Divorces are messy and it sounds like Sonja is having an extra rough time with it.
