Spencer Pratt: Brody Jenner Was 'Like A Hostage' In His Relationship With Kaitlynn Carter

Spencer Pratt had a feeling about Brody Jenner‘s relationship… and as it turned out, well, maybe Spencer was right all along!

Spencer and his wife, Heidi Montag, opened up on their wonderful Make Speidi Famous Again podcast this week to discuss the end of Brody’s tumultuous relationship with Kaitlynn Carter — and along the way, Spencer reveals some very interesting stuff about his reality TV pal!

Speaking about Brody’s bad breakup this week with Kaitlynn, his co-star on The Hills decided to get REALLY real about Jenner while describing what things appeared to be like day-to-day for the couple. Opening up about Brody’s discomfort throughout his relationship with Carter, Spencer dropped a BIG reveal, saying (below):

“I’m not surprised [that they broke up.] I feel like I said it, maybe it hasn’t aired yet, but that he almost was like a hostage. It felt like he was trying to tell me, ‘Get me out. Get me out.’ I kept saying this season [of The Hills] it comes off like, ‘He’s just not partying,’ [but] now I think Season 2, we’re gonna get to see real Brody and the show is going to be freakin’ incredible. [Brody]’s way more fun, he’s way less intense. I hope we get to see relaxed Brody, having fun.”

Wow!!! Almost like a hostage in his own relationship?! Yeah, that’s not exactly a ringing endorsement for Carter… not even a little bit!!

Beyond that, Montag chimed in with her own bit of irony, pointing out how “fascinating” it was that Kaitlynn and Brody both called out Speidi’s relationship in the past — and now they’re the ones who have broken up.

Heidi opened up (below):

“It’s fascinating that I felt like they tried to say digs at us about marriage and certain things on the show. We’ve been together for almost 13 years, we’ve been through multiple reality TV shows and you’re being weird about us. We’re not trying to say anything about your relationship.”

Amen!!!

Honestly, there’s SO much drama around Brody and Kaitlynn right now that it’s only proper for Spencer and Heidi to break it down as only those two can. We need clarity on this breakup, and the aftermath, and what REALLY went on behind the scenes, and Speidi is the team to do it! Ha!!! BTW… they also dive deep on Hannah Brown, Jed Wyatt, and that hugely controversial Bachelorette ending, too, so there’s no shortage of juicy relationship drama to take in on the most recent ep!
