It was reported early this morning that British actress Lucy Gordon was found dead on Wednesday.
She apparently hanged herself in her Paris, France, apartment.
Authorities are not running an investigation, claiming it is a “clear case of suicide.”
The young actress was to turn 29 this week and was said to be devastated by the recent suicide of a friend, supplying a possible motive for her tragic death.
An agent for the actress confirmed that she “ended her own days.”
Gordon had a film screening in Cannes this week: a biopic about singer-songwriter Serge Gainsbourg in which she played British actress Jane Birkin. She also has been seen in such films as Spider-Man 3, Serendipity, and Frost.
