Spiders are terrifying enough as it is… the last thing they need is problem solving skills.
The day spiders learn to open doors is the day we start searching for a new planet.
Proof of spider intelligence was recently found online: photos of a spider web anchored by a stone, suspended in mid-air.
Imgur user reverseLoop posted some seriously crazy photos and wrote:
“Spider at my girlfriend’s parents house, in their garage. Apparently it decided it wanted to build its web in the middle of the arch and needed something to counter balance it from the bottom. So, this clever spider grabbed a rock, dragged it up to the web, and suspended it from the bottom. Never seen anything like it before and thought it was pretty fucking cool.”
Pretty f*cking terrifying too!
Maybe that rock is hanging there with evil intent! Maybe the spider is waiting to cut the line and drop the rock on a person’s head!

Then they’ll have enough food for several lifetimes!
Apparently, the truth is just that spiders do this kind of thing, anchoring their web to a rock on the ground and then slowly raising it off the ground as they build their dragline stronger.
So while it’s super terrifying, we won’t have to leave this planet anytime soon.
