Stella McCartney Designs A Feminine Post-Mastectomy Bra To Pay Tribute To Her Late Mom

Stella is doing beautiful things for the breast cancer community!
How beautiful!
Stella McCartney is celebrating her mom, Linda McCartney, in the most amazing way.
Because Linda passed away in 1998 from breast cancer, the designer decided to create a new bra for her lingerie line specifically for post-mastectomy patients.

Made of cotton, the compression Listening Louise bra features gorgeous lace detailing all over the front.
As Stella shared in her press release:

“We wanted to bring something feminine and beautiful into a bra that is taboo. There are so many different emotions attached to the tragic realities of having had a double mastectomy, many cultures are unaccepting and terrible things happen to women both physically and emotionally├óΓé¼┬ª We just wanted to make something that allows women undergoing this to have something to be proud of, something with no shame attached. We wanted women to know that you can still be feminine, have your sensuality, have all of the things that are attached to being a woman and that part of your body can still feel beautiful on the outside, as well as the inside.”

We think it’ll do just that!
Additionally, all proceeds from the Listening Louise bra will benefit the Hello Beautiful Foundation, which aims to help breast cancer patients. See a shot of it (below)!

And Stella didn’t finish there. Ahead of Breast Cancer Awareness month, she also came out with a line of pink lingerie with a percentage of proceeds being donated to the Linda McCartney Centre and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
