Donald Trump Adviser Stephen Miller Gets ROASTED Over Statue Of Liberty Comments!

Not a good day to be Stephen Miller!
On Wednesday, after Donald Trump announced plans to overhaul legal immigration, CNN reporter Jim Acosta told Miller during a press conference that Trump’s plan “does not sound like it’s keeping with American tradition” because it suggests prospective immigrants must “speak English” to enter.

Acosta specifically references a poem by Emma Lazarus engraved on the Statue of Liberty which reads:

“Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free”

The Senior White House Adviser then criticizes the poem saying it was not originally part of the New York monument. He replied:

“The Statue of Liberty is a symbol of liberty enlightening the world. It’s a symbol of American liberty lighting the world. The poem that you’re referring to was added later. It’s not actually a part of the Statue of Liberty.”

Almost immediately, Trump’s aide received a flood of criticism for his remark, including a scathing message from the Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect.
