General Hospital‘s Steve Burton is getting back on the horse!
The actor married food influencer Michelle Lundstrom, whom you may have seen on Netflix‘s Barbecue Showdown, over the weekend! We’re really happy for him after what happened last time! As Perezcious readers know, the Days of Our Lives star split from his first wife (of 23 years) Sheree Gustin after she got pregnant with another man in 2022. They finalized their divorce in late 2023. That was a whole mess! This, on the other hand, has started out beautifully!
Steve and Michelle tied the knot in an Orthodox church ceremony on Saturday with just close family in attendance. The bride wore a custom, strapless dress designed by Lee Petra Grebenau for the occasion. Steve’s kids from his marriage to Sheree — Makena, 21, Jack, 19, and Brooklyn, 10 — as well as Michelle’s kids Lilah, 14, and Hannah, 10, were in the wedding party, right alongside General Hospital stars Jonathan Jackson and wife Lisa Vultaggio. Fun!

The couple and their loved ones, including a total of 45 guests and some other friends from GH, then celebrated with a “romantic” oceanfront reception at the Montage Laguna Beach resort in Laguna Beach, California, according to People on Sunday. Sharing the good news with the outlet, Steve reflected:
“This day isn’t just about a ceremony. It’s the beginning of forever with the love of my life. […] I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend, growing together each day in faith and love.”
The 54-year-old also called her the “most amazing, beautiful, and selfless woman I’ve ever known.” Michelle similarly gushed:
“Gosh, he’s proven that fairy tale love truly exists. He’s like pure sunshine — always uplifting, endlessly caring. His love makes me a better person every single day. […] To have the most incredible man I’ve ever known by my side forever brings me so much peace and happiness. He is the love of my life, and I feel so blessed to call him mine.”

These nuptials come after the couple got engaged in January. The newlyweds first went public with their romance at the Daytime Emmys in June 2024. Things have moved fast, but hey, it’s not like he’d want to look back at all! Plus, they sound so in love! Many congrats!
