Ha! Oh Stevie, you ethereal, eccentric goddess!
It’s no secret that legendary singer Stevie Nicks is a major Twilight fan — she admitted back in 2011 that the Bella-Edward tale of supernatural love inspired her to write a whole new album…
But we had no idea she held the quality of Stephenie Meyers‘ young-adult fantasy books in such high esteem!
At last night’s cray cray Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 premiere, Stevie revealed how she believe the Twilight tales are just as poignant and romantic as those of classic literature, and even toted them as a modern Jane Eyre!
Stevie gushed:
“It’s bittersweet… because I really would be happier if it was not ending. I wish it could go on forever. I think that [Stephenie] is probably… god knows how long it took her to write this. And it’s been five years!
It’s a huge love story… I was just saying to the last [journalist], it’s like Wuthering Heights, it’s that kind of story… it’s like Jane Eyre… it’s a totally timeless kind of story that we can relate to.”
HA!!
Well, we don’t know if we’d go that far!
But we suppose there is something timeless about Edward and Bella’s lovin’…
Especially since vampires live to sparkle in the sunshine forever!
Now we just need a Twilight, Jane Eyre crossover deal! Summit entertainment, MAKE IT HAPPEN.
