Former Disney Star Charged After Allegedly Trying To Have Sex With 13-Year-Old Boy!
A former Disney star has been charged after he allegedly tried to have sex with a 13-year-old boy.
On Monday, Utah prosecutors charged Stoney Westmoreland with six felony counts: one second degree felony count of enticing a minor by Internet or text, four three-degree felony counts of dealing in materials harmful to a minor, and one third degree felony count of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor.
The thespian — who played a grandfather on the popular tween show Andi Mack — was arrested on December 14 in Salt Lake City, Utah. After news broke out, he was immediately fired by the Disney Channel.
According to documents cited by CNN, a Salt Lake County detective said he was contacted by Westmoreland via a dating app. The 48-year-old allegedly “began conversing with who he believed to be a 13-year-old male and asked if the male would come to his hotel room and engage in sexual activity.” Westmoreland also allegedly sent sexually explicit photos.
When Stoney arrived at the arranged spot, he was arrested and allegedly “admitted to sending nude photos, and that the male who he was speaking with told him he was 13 years old.”
He is currently out of jail after posting $100,000 bail, and is awaiting his court date.
