Taylor Frankie Paul is back on TikTok.
A month after the popular “soft-swinging” Mormon TikToker was charged with domestic violence and child abuse in Utah last month, she returned to the social media platform with a video featuring her boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. The couple both shared videos documenting their routine together, including footage of them brushing their teeth, going to the gym, shopping at Trader Joe’s, and kissing each other on the cheek. Taylor captioned the post, saying:
“It’s been a minute, missed you guys.”

This marked the first time the couple has posted of video together on TikTok since Taylor was arrested for one count of felony aggravated assault, two counts of felony domestic violence in the presence of a child causing injury, one count of misdemeanor child abuse and one count of misdemeanor criminal mischief. Police said the social media personality and Dakota got into a heated confrontation on February 17, resulting in injuries to both him and her 5-year-old daughter Indy Paul, who she shares with ex Tate Paul.
According to a court document obtained by Page Six, Taylor allegedly started to strike Dakota when he tried to leave during their argument. She then allegedly threw her cell phone, “wooden playset,” and three metal barstools at her man. But one of the chairs reportedly hit Indy, giving her a “goose egg” bump on her head, while the others hit Dakota and left holes in the walls. Taylor also is accused of putting her boyfriend “in a chokehold and kicking him” at one point during the confrontation.
OMG!!!
She has since entered a plea of not guilty during her court appearance on March 1. Taylor also addressed the incident on Instagram Stories last week, writing:
“The last few weeks have been the hardest of weeks of my life. I wanted to thank all of those who have been by my side, those who reached out and the strangers that stopped to hug me. I’ve silently been working on healing, therapy, a blessing, starting classes, and got on antidepressants to help me during this time. I’m starting to feel progress and will be back to work soon.”
Meanwhile, Dakota has supported and defended Taylor since the incident. He previously said in a TikTok video:
“She’s an incredible mom and she loves her kids so much. I will be there for her and help her in any way that I can. It just sucks. This whole thing sucks.”
As of right now, Taylor’s domestic violence case is still pending, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens next! Reactions, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments below.
