Despite all the chatter claiming that Taylor Frankie Paul had officially snagged a coveted spot on Dancing With the Stars, the truth is far less dramatic — but still juicy enough to keep us talking! Sources close to the situation are now setting the record straight, and let’s just say… this is a classic case of Hollywood whispers turning into full-blown headlines.

According to insiders who spoke to TMZ on Wednesday, Taylor did have some involvement with the ballroom world… but not in the way fans were led to believe.
Ya see, it turns out that during her now-shelved season of The Bachelorette, there was a crossover date featuring none other than the glitzy, glitter-filled set of DWTS. Yes, cameras were rolling and dance floors were shining, but that doesn’t mean she was signing on the dotted line to compete for the mirrorball trophy.
Apparently, that one little crossover moment spiraled into speculation that Taylor was gearing up to cha-cha her way into America’s living rooms. Not quite! See, while producers did reportedly float the idea and gauge her interest in possibly joining a future season, that’s pretty standard practice. After all, you’ll no doubt remember Melissa Rycroft, Hannah Brown, and Kaitlyn Bristowe — all Bachelor Nation alums who made the same leap.
As for whether fans will ever see that mysterious crossover date, the answer is still up in the air. With her other show, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, heading back into production, there’s growing buzz from insiders that ABC might be rethinking what to do with that lost Bachelorette season, evidently.
In the meantime, Taylor’s focus is on her family and her kids, insiders told the news outlet. That said, she’s not disappearing from the spotlight completely. Cameras are expected to start rolling again very soon, and whenever she’s ready, she’ll apparently be stepping back into the reality TV world.
So, no, TFP is not waltzing onto DWTS just yet. But in Hollywood, never say never…???
