Oh, this is not good…
On Tuesday, a police spokesman told NBC News that officials are investigating a third domestic violence incident involving Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen. The 33-year-old father contacted the West Jordan, Utah, Police Department last month with allegations of domestic violence against the MomTok star stemming from an incident in 2024. The police spokesman stated that he could not provide details about what happened, as this is an ongoing investigation.
However, he said the department is reviewing multiple videos connected to the alleged situation to determine the exact details and timelines, and he could not share the exact dates of the 2024 incident. The spokesman noted that law enforcement only has Dakota’s account of what occurred back then, since they have not spoken to Taylor yet. Investigators want her to either submit a written statement or come to the station for an interview to help corroborate some of the details in Dakota’s report.

The spokesman claimed that when Dakota called, he informed officials that the West Jordan Police Department referred him to the Draper Police Department due to the jurisdiction of the 2024 incident. There is currently a separate open domestic violence investigation with the Draper Police Department after allegations from both parties last month.
As Perezcious readers know, Mormon Wives is on pause due to the alleged domestic dispute involving Taylor and Dakota, who currently has temporary custody of their son and a temporary protective order against her. Salt Lake County District Attorney Sam Gill also told NBC News on Tuesday that his office “requested all the investigative material to screen the most recent allegations for charges” and confirmed that his office is looking into a case submitted by Draper police. He added:
“We made the request because of the potential that if charges are filed, they could be enhanced due to a prior plea in abeyance to a domestic violence offense.”
Back in 2023, Taylor and Dakota got into a massive altercation at her home, which involved the reality star hitting and throwing chairs at him in front of her daughter. One of those chairs ended up striking the child, resulting in an injury. The footage of the fight came out last week, resulting in the cancellation of her season of The Bachelorette. Taylor was arrested in 2023, and she took a plea deal, pleading guilty in abeyance to only aggravated assault. In exchange, prosecutors dropped the other charges — two counts of felony domestic violence in the presence of a child causing injury, one count of misdemeanor child abuse.
The situation is already bad enough for Taylor, but it just got worse in light of the investigation into a third domestic violence incident. Oof. At this time, she hasn’t spoken out about the latest update.
